Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha
3 minutes by car; 15 minutes walking
A relatively small beach (length of 100 metres and a width of 40 metres), Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha is beautiful!
The beach, flanked to the east by the cliff’s high line and to the west by Nossa Senhora da Rocha promontory, is a sheltered cove.
As a result, fisherman use it as a small fishing harbour.
For this reason, there are small boats and huts at the beach’s rear.
Consequently, the beach is single in the area.
But there is more!
Not only the soft sand is golden as the water is crystal clear.
Additionally, the sea is generally calm. Making it great for swimming or boat tours!

Then try the excavated narrow tunnel (60 metres long) linking Praia Senhora da Rocha to Praia Nova.
This new and exciting way of accessing a beach awaits you.

Praia Nova
3 minutes by car; 15 minutes walking
Praia Nova, is a large beach (about 300 metres long), backed by a continuous line of cliffs in tones of ochre and red.
The cliff tops are covered in abundant vegetation.
For example, here you find plants such as saltwort, Mediterranean saltbush and shrubby sea-blite.
How can you acess the beach?
Access the beach in two different ways:
- Using a steep staircase in the cliff face, roughly in the middle of the beach;
- Using the 60 metres tunnel, patiently dug out by hand, linking Praia Nova to Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha
It is worth mentioning, that as a result of its accessibility, this beach is never crowded.
Above all, this is a truly beautiful spot of unspoiled nature!

Nearly all beaches mentioned above are flanked by rocky cliffs.
That is to say that marking the coastline are rocky ledges, arches, sinkholes and underground galleries.
Adding to this, typical coastline plants grow alongside the paths overlooking the ocean.
Consequently, the seascape is unforgettable.
The turquoise ocean contrasts with the ochre of the cliffs and is a tremendous sight.

The rocky beaches are stunning!
However, in the Algarve more than one type of beach exists.
For instance, in contrast to the rocky beaches, broad expanses of sand are present.
One of these stretches is within a five minute drive from the apartment – Praia de Armação de Pêra
This golden sandy beach extends for 3 km to Albufeira and awaits you!

One of the nicest things to do in the Algarve is spending endless hours on the beach.
After all, what can be better than laying in the sun, swimming in clear waters and enjoying the marine breeze?

You can still go to the beach!
